Spring Peepers and Wood Frogs are the first species to sing in the early spring wetlands, soon followed by American Toads and Gray Treefrogs.  The little known Crow’s Pass Conservation Area, on the Oak Ridges Moraine, contains kettle ponds that are the breeding sites for these frogs as well as Newts and Spotted Salamanders.  Join North Durham Nature Director and herpetologist James Kamstra in listening for frogs and looking for salamanders.  Please meet James at 7:30 p.m. at the corner of Middlemarch Road and Ashburn Road.  For more information, please visit our website at www.northdurhmnature.com or “Like” us on Facebook!
