Church of the Ascension is holding an auction of art, a benefit for Syrian newcomers who will soon be arriving in Durham.  The silent auction will begin Saturday September 29 as a part of Culture Days in Scugog. Up for auction are four pieces of art:two large abstract acrylic, sculpture and reduction linoleum print by local artists Michael Black, Wynn Walters and Lynne McIlvride.  Come and see at the historic Church of the Ascension sanctuary, 266 North St at corner of John St from 10am to 4pm.
