May 28, 2024 – A Ribbon of Wilderness for Everyone @ 7:00 PM Scugog Memorial Library, Port Perry, Ontario
The Bruce Trail is more than just a footpath. It plays a crucial role in protecting and preserving one of Canada’s irreplaceable natural wonders – The Niagara Escarpment. Jay Thibert will share his experiences exploring some of the 900km of trail that crosses Ontario from Queenston on the Niagara River to Tobermory on the Bruce Peninsula. Come and hear about the trail’s diverse landscapes, unique geology and its biological treasures. You will be inspired to lace up your boots and discover the wonders of the Escarpment.
Jay has explored Canada by canoe, kayak, cross country skis, snowshoes and on foot. His camera and tripod are always carried on the journey. He and his wife, Bev love to retreat to the log cabin they built in the Boreal forest near Sudbury.
