Each year 24 bird houses In the preserve are cleaned out and adopted by volunteers.  They spend the summer monitoring and assisting the cavity nesting birds—Eastern Bluebirds, Tree Swallows, House Wrens and Black Capped Chickadees, ensuring the roof doesn’t’ leak, predators haven’t broken in and baby birds haven’t fallen out.
