Protected from foreign invasion by vast deserts and sustained by fertile soil along the river, the ancient Egyptians developed from a simple agricultural community into a sophisticated society. This travelling exhibit created by the Royal Ontario Museum will cover topics such as personal adornment, daily household life, architecture, education, religion and the Ancient Egyptian view of the afterlife. The exhibit includes 9 display cases featuring original artifacts from the ROM's collection, 10 text panels, 17 hands-on artifacts, 4 activity stations and a video.

Come get your free compost and make your garden happy. Four (4) container limit per vehicle.

Green bins, blue boxes and backyard composters will be available for sale (cash only). Damaged blue boxes and green bins can also be exchanged at this event

On Sunday, May 13, Tara Hills Stud Farm in Port Perry, Ont., will be opening their farm to the general public for a special Mother’s Day Open House, showcasing their mares, foals, stallions and facilities, providing a great opportunity for people who don’t normally have a chance to visit a horse farm to connect with the horses and the people in the Standardbred industry. This event is FREE to the general public!
Tara Hills Stud Farm will host their event from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m.
Tara Hills Stud, one of North America’s premiere Standardbred breeding farms, is owned and operated by David Heffering. This is Tara Hills Farm’s first Mother’s Day Open House event. In addition to seeing the mares and foals, visitors will also have the opportunity to meet some of North America’s top ranked stallions including Kadabra and Muscle Mass.
