The 1st annual Port Perry walk for Dog Guides was an outstanding success. We ended up with 142 walkers and $10,131 raised. According to the Lions Foundation this was “The best ever 1st walk.” According to the latest annual report we ended up 24th of 273 Canadian walks in 2018. Out of the gate, Top 10%. Most important, key comments were “how much fun it was” and how beautiful Port Perry is. This year we have added a photo booth, gelato bar, more goodies in the grab bag, more professional photographers, member for a day coupon for Oakridge Golf and Pet Valu discount certificates. The walk starts at Palmer Park with the Dukes providing entertainment, features the beautiful railway walking trail, lakeside paths, Queen Street shopping and ends at the Old Flame Brewery where Vos Independent will be serving a BBQ lunch followed by Gelato courtesy of the Perfect Scoop. Lots of door prizes. You do not need a dog to walk.
