The Township of Scugog celebrates Canada Day in Palmer Park! Join us on July 1 for unforgettable fun and entertainment! Our celebrations kick off at 10:30 a.m. with a parade through Historic Downtown Port Perry, featuring our annual "Vettes for Vets", along with antique cars, local athletes, fife & drum and pipe bands, historical characters, and more! While the parade ends in Palmer Park, the fun has only just begun! After opening ceremonies, the day is packed full of live performances, activities in the Kids’ Zone, tasty vendors, Old Flame beverage tent, and tons of exciting, inclusive events for the entire family. The night ends with the best firework show in Durham Region, displayed over Lake Scugog. You will not want to miss out as Scugog celebrates Canada Day in Palmer Park!

“Freemasonry: A History Hidden in Plain Sight” is a traveling exhibit created by the Bruce County Museum & Cultural Centre.  The exhibit will be on display at the Scugog Shores Museum Village from July 2 – August 30, 2019.  The exhibit promotes the knowledge, appreciation and understanding of Masonic history and the influence of Freemasonry has on our society today.  The story is told through six display cases containing storyboards and artifacts, regalia and other objects as well as a portrait gallery containing famous Masons from around the world.  The exhibit will be supplemented by artifacts from the collection of the Scugog Shores Museum, as well as artifacts on loan from local community members.  The Museum Village will be open daily from 10 am - 4 pm.  Regular admission applies.  This project is funded by the Government of Canada.

This meeting will feature Gini Sage speaking on Square Foot Gardening.  Her primary interests are promoting the use of native plants in our gardens and planting vegetables and herbs in our flower beds.

Admission is $7.00 for adults, $5.00 for students/seniors and $2.00 for children 5-12. Family admission is $20.00 (for 2 adults and unlimited related children) and is valid for the full weekend.
