Not So Happy Days

Murder Mystery Evening

Join us for an interactive night of intrigue with "Not So Happy Days"! Our annual Murder Mystery Evening, created by volunteer Sandra Carrier and performed enthusiastically by local volunteers, is back at the Scugog Shores Museum Village.

Jump back into the 1950s as amateur detectives to solve the mystery! The Presley sisters are accused of murder and gain the help of their cousin's son, a young Elvis Presley, to help prove their innocence. This exciting one-night event features live actors throughout the museum village. Pay close attention, the culprit may be close at hand.

Prizes, donated by local merchants, will be awarded to the detectives who catch the culprit. Tickets are $25 and must be purchased in advance. Tickets sell out every year so get yours early to avoid disappointment.

Tickets can be purchased here, or by contacting the museum at 905-260-2017 or museum@scugog.ca.

Gaia, a Photographic Celebration of Flora and Fauna with Peter Rasberry - September 27, 2022 @ 7:00 p.m. – Scugog Memorial Library, Port Perry

Gaia was the Greek earth goddess, or Mother Earth, who in mythology gave birth to the Mountains, Sea and Sky. Gaia is also Dr. James Lovelock’s theory of Earth as a self-sustaining organism. This presentation is a slideshow of flora and fauna celebrating the beauty, complexity and diversity of some of the many species we share the planet with, and their roles in sustaining the balance of life.

Peter Rasberry is retired following a 38 year career in Outdoor and Environmental Education. As a hobby photographer, he is excited to share his deep connection to Nature through some of his images and experiences. Peter’s photographs have appeared in the Canadian Wildlife Federation’s publications. They have also been on exhibit at Environment Canada’s Biosphere Museum in Montreal for the Untied Nations International Year of Biodiversity (2010).
