Dagmar Resort’s Open House is the perfect time to come out to the hill and speak to our friendly staff about what we have in store for this season.
We offer high quality programs that provide a fun and exciting experience for everyone. Our programs are taught by passionate, certified and caring Instructors for anyone ages 3 and up. Whether you are a never-ever or an advanced skier/snowboarder looking to improve your skills, we have the right program for you. Our low student to instructor ratio means that you will receive the attention that you need to succeed. Don’t forget to book your programs and season passes before November 3rd to receive our early bird discount.
Wanting to buy or sell equipment? Kawartha Ski Patrol holds their annual ski swap at Dagmar Resort on the same weekend. There will be tons of new and used equipment to look through for all ages. A portion of all sales do go to the Kawartha Ski Patrol to assist with their funding for the season.

You do not have to enter the contest to attend the workshops. Susan Reynolds is the instructor for this series of 4 workshops for youth. $75 for all four sessions. The Scugog Sports Hall of Fame celebrates its 13th season Nov. 7 at the Scugog Community Recreation Centre, with doors open at 6 p.m. The induction ceremony begins at 7 p.m., as we proudly welcome hockey standout Casey Vanschagen, former president of Port Perry District Minor Softball Carolyn Best, the 1994/95 Port Perry IGA Junior A Ringette Team, and the Warriner Curling Team into the Hall.
The public is invited to join the Scugog Sports Hall of Fame in celebrating the careers and achievements of our inductees and sports in our township. The event includes a cash bar, silent auction and guest speaker, comedian Freddy Proia. It’s sure to be a memorable evening suitable for the whole family.
If you know an athlete or builder worthy of induction into the Scugog Sports Hall of Fame, complete a nomination form which can be found by searching for the Scugog Sports Hall of Fame online at scugog.ca. Late autumn is a great time to view a wide variety of water birds as they gather and feed on Lake Simcoe before heading further south. Join James Kamstra and Derek Connelly to view the many species from various vantage points along the shore. Please bring binoculars and a scope if you have them. (Some will be available to borrow). Community Care Durham, North Durham office is hosting Let's Talk About events, once a month. Located at The Nourish and Develop Foundation (16 York St. Cannington). Each month, there will be a different topic to bring awareness to the community about different topics. These events are open to the public, at no cost to the participant - however registration is required. Refreshments will be served.

Team Teen, a youth group in Scugog, is putting on the Children's Fun Fest event on Friday November, 22nd from 5:00 to 6:00pm at the Scugog Arena in the Recreation Room. This is located on the second floor of the Scugog Arena. Admission is free with the donation of a non-perishable food item for Operation Scugog.
Activities include crafts, a photo booth, active games and calm area with books, toys and circle games lead by the youth and recreation staff. Ages 3+. Parents can stay and play or drop off.
Non-perishable food donations will also be accepted at the Scugog Arena leading up to the event.
Team Teen is made up of a group of youth in scugog who want to make a difference in their community. They meet once a month with the Recreation Programmer to put their ideas together and create events in the community.

Scugog Shores Museum Village is delighted to welcome Port Perry local, Jennifer the Medium back to the Museum on November 22nd! Jennifer will lead two one-hour group readings:

The show runs from 10:00-3:00 on Saturday, November 23rd. Cost: admission $5.00, seniors and children under 12 free.
